  TopÝ Antenatal  
   

This clinic is run by the midwives. If you become pregnant, you will be given a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either by your GP or the midwife.

Asthma sufferers will be called routinely to for advice and support from our nurses who specialise in asthma care. If you are unable to attend or wish to discuss an Asthma appointment please contact Jo Spicer on 01491 821770

 
       
  TopÝ Blood Test  
   

We run blood test clinics every morning from 8.00 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 8.30a.m. on Mondays and Fridays. The early morning appointments are mainly for patients who need to have a "fasting" blood test. Our blood samples are collected at 12.00 o’clock therefore we cannot do any blood tests in the afternoons.

Led by our nursing team this offers advice and general health check ups to patients diagnosed with coronary heart disease. You will  be called routinely. If you are unable to attend or wish to discuss C.H.D. appointments please contact

  TopÝ Child Health and Immunisations  
   

All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks old. Immunisations are done by the Practice Nurses (K McDermott or H Fussell) for all babies and pre-school children. Your baby or child will routinely be called by the practice for their immunisations. If you have any queries regarding immunisation clinics or are unable to attend for an appointment please contact

Practice Nurse Kathy McDermott & Hannah Fussell runs a wart clinic every Monday afternoon. This is only for patients who have been referred by their doctor for this procedure. You must speak to your doctor before making an appointment in this clinic.

Led by our nursing team, this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes. You will routinely be called to this clinic and given an appointment. If you are unable to attend or wish to discuss clinic appointment please contact

The dispensary is open from 08:30 - 18:30 Monday to Friday.

We have our own dispensary which dispenses to patients who live more than 1 mile from a chemist - Click here for map. We aim to dispense items whilst you wait, after seeing the doctor but occasionally some items may be unavailable and have to be ordered. These items will usually be available the following day. We offer a drop in blood pressure service for anyone over the age of 45. Just ask at reception and one of our fully trained blood pressure takers will take your blood pressure. For patients who have a diagnosis of Hypertension (high blood pressure), you will routinely be called for a review appointment with one of our practice nurses. Minor Illness Clinic  
   

These are nurse led clinics for patients with urgent conditions that need to be seen the same day but do not necessarily need to be seen by a doctor. The nurses running these clinics have been specially trained and work closely alongside the duty doctor.

Minor operations can be done in our treatment room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.

 
       
  TopÝ Non NHS services  
   

There are a number of services that the doctors offer which fall outside the NHS, and for these are charge will be made. Please ask at reception for our full list of charges. Chargeable items include private insurance forms and medicals, various special examinations and reports for school, travel, employment and driving. Without exception we require pre-payment for all non-NHS services.

 
       
  TopÝ Research Projects  
   

This practice does partake in medically and ethically approved research projects which often have benefits to the patients recruited into these studies. We work closely with the Medical Research Council, if you would like information on any of the studies we are involved in at any particular time please do not hesitate to contact the Practice Manager, Mrs Janet Newman on 01491 821760. This practice contributes anonymous data to databases used for healthcare research purposes. The practice receives a nominal fee and training from the company aggregating the data to help improve quality in its computer records.

The company holding the anonymous data will be providing the data to authorised researchers for a data fee. The data collection scheme has been approved by the South East Multicentre Research Ethics Committee. The Committee will also be overseeing all research conducted on the data.

The database will hold data on millions of patients, and no patient will be traceable to anyone outside this practice.

Please make an appointment with one of the practice nurses at least eight weeks before you are due to travel. Before coming in for your travel consultation either Click here to view the travel pack on-line (once opened you should be able to print it off in the normal way then fill in with black ink) or you can obtain your travel pack from our reception.
