Telephoning your doctor

Some problems may be able to be dealt with by having a telephone consultation with your GP or one of our nursing team.

If you wish to have a telephone call from your GP or nurse, please call the practice on 01491 835577 and speak to the appointments desk.  You will be asked to confirm the telephone number you wish to be called back on, and a brief reason for your call.  This information helps your doctor prioritise the many calls they receive daily.

We cannot give a specific time for the return call but we aim to do most of our telephone calls after morning surgery and before and after afternoon surgeries.

Please be aware that you may get a message that Caller ID is withheld when we return your call.

If your usual doctor is not consulting on the day of your call, you can still book a telephone consultation for when they are next available.  If the problem is urgent, you will be offered a call back from the duty doctor, but in general, it is usually better to wait for your doctor to return to allow continuity of care.
